Equinox Payments L4150 and SKP4150 Terminal Overview

The Equinox Optimum L4150 and SKP4150 credit card terminal enables merchants to process credit cards quickly. This small, compact, easy-to-use, oval-shaped PCI PED credit card machine interface has an intuitive design. The acquirer-controlled Equinox SKP4150 credit card machine has Fixed, MK/SK and DUKPT Key Management. Its functions include display, ICCR, MSR and PIN Entry. This Equinox Payments L4150 device adheres to EMV, Interac, PCI, RoHS and RSA standards.

Features & Benefits

The Equinox (Hypercom) Optimum L4150 is a credit card terminal that is activated by a store employee to allow the customer to complete the transaction. Credit cards can be swiped using the dual-side, bi-directional magnetic stripe reader running the width of the unit. There is also a slot for credit card insertion. There is a pen holder and electronic signature capture section enabling either finger or pen touch control.

The SKP4150 device dimensions are 23.72 x 19.14 x 6.44 centimeters (9.34 x 7.5 x 2.5 inches) with a weight of 0.86 kilograms (1.9 pounds). The Optimum SKP4150 credit card terminal has a hardened glass top and 1/4 VGA color display (with 65,000 shades available).

The 200 MHz, 32-bit Intel XScale processor with standard memory of 8 MB flash & 16 MB SDRAM ensures vendors can process financial transactions quickly. Communication is via RS-232 or powered USB. Merchants can customize the bezel for brand advertising. Chip card or contactless payment readers are optional.
