LGP-1000 Terminal Overview

The Hyper-Tech LGP-1000 credit card terminal is a physical keypad with numbers, commands and function keys only. Its operating system is the Linux kernal version 2.6.26.8. This vendor-controlled credit card terminal provides display, ICCR, MSR and PIN entry. The LGP-1000 is under the PED approval category and has satisfied the EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications for Payment Systems.

LGP-1000 Features & Benefits

The versatility of the LGP-1000 is one of its key strengths. It can handle credit card input via manual key, magnetic stripe or IC with Contacts. The maximum supported Certificate Authority Public Key Size is 248 bytes. Goods only transactions are enabled.

LGP-1000 terminal has the following Card Verification Method (CVM) capability with plaintext PIN for ICC verification, enciphered PIN for online verification, paper signature and enciphered PIN for offline verification

The LGP-1000 credit card terminal supports subsequent bypass PIN entry, Get Data for PIN Try counter, plaintext PIN for ICC verification, enciphered PIN for online verification, paper signature, enciphered PIN for offline verification and Fail Card Verification Method (CVM). The terminal supports batch data capture, but does not support online data capture. There is no PIN pad.

For merchants who need to print out their receipts quickly, the print attendant is quite handy. The LGP-1000 terminal has static data authentication, dynamic data authentication, combined dynamic data authentication and application cryptogram generation; it does NOT have card capture.

This credit card terminal supports data authentication, checks for certificate revocation and requires operator action when loading CA Public Key fails. The LGP-1000 credit card machine complies with Checksum rules.
